Dive Part 1

Looking forward to taking another pass at this one.  Definitely going to try to get the bird in.  I figured out a way to do it that will be more in character to the bird and with less animation.   :)

Ball bounce, take 1

It's feeling a little sticky to me on the frames at the impact of the bounce... And I think some of the frames are overlapping.  I think I'd lean more towards air-time and less stretch if I do it again.

Bouncing ball first pass...sorta

So here's the first pass at my bouncing ball- I just wanted to see if I could duplicate what Don did in class, so I used the same timing and tried to imitate the spacing. I think, in addition to my lumpy ball drawing, there are some shooting issues, because I tried to shoot this at home, at night, with a camera clamped to a table.  The resulting images were skewed, which I sorta fixed in Photoshop, but you can see from how the pegs dance around at the bottom of the screen that it didn't totally work.  I'm going to scan in my next go 'round.  I think that'll be more reliable.

Where you guys at?

Flipping, Rolling, Bouncing

Hey all

Here's Don's demo video from Wednesday. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure how to make the video loop automatically using blogger's player- anybody know?

Also, here's the flipping and rolling demo link from his email:

Check out the rest of that channel if you have a chance- she has some neat masterclass videos with Andreas Deja

Posing

This blog post is about the importance of 'Posing'  and since this is what we're focusing on in addition to getting used to the character design, thought it was relavant.

12 Principles of Animation and Suggested Reading

Thought this post was pretty thorough in explaining the 12 Principles of Animation....
Even though there are actually more than 12.

Also some STRONGLY suggested reading if you can borrow it, buy it, or what have you... Just make sure you at least read them.
